THE JUICE

Y EAU DE TOILETTE 

A touch green, a touch woody and topped with a soft balsamic sweetness, Y offers a bold new take on the traditional fougere. At the top, the classic white t-shirt is represented first by fresh notes of white aldehydes, bergamot and lemon, followed by geranium absolute and sage, a twist on the classic strains thanks to an innovative new process of extraction.

At its base, the elegant power of a beautifully cut black jacket is expressed in soft notes of cedar wood, ambergris accord and incense. Refined, chic and imbued with a youthful vigour.

Y EAU DE PARFUM

The juice of this new fragrance is deep, fresh and masculine. Created by legendary perfumer Dominique Ropion, Y represents two key items in the YSL man’s wardrobe – the classic white T-shirt and the iconic black jacket.

The start of the scent is fresh, a tangy and explosive duet of bergamot. A freshness contrasted and emphasized by a fruity, juicy and crunchy green apple. Sage redraw a powerful masculinity boosted By an elegant duet of geranium essence and absolute providing freshness and contrast.

The background of the scent is more intense, more sensual, more masculine with the addition of amber woods vetiver that reinforces the mysterious depth of olibanum and Tonka bean.

THE BOTTLE

Conceived by renowned designer Suzanne Dalton, the monolithic construction of The Y bottle is, in the designer’s words, “an expression of purity.” Designed to embody a creative man who is passionate, driven and takes risks in order to find his place in the world.

It is a design that, according to dalton, represents a new masculinity. Sliced through with a metal ‘y’, the glass is cut with such precision to reflect the strength and elegance of the fragrance within.

An entirely new direction for the ysl fragrance family, the bottle for y is a totemic object, a sky-scraping homage to modern, creative masculinity.

The bottle is sharp & minimalist in its construction but the geometric y notch on the side is a unique creative signature.
