On the bed, the romance novel that we’ve read a hundred times.

DOUBLE BRIDGE – TIMELESS AND SOPHISTICATED DESIGN

The bold, geometric shape of this Giorgio Armani frame has an injected double bridge that creates an attractive colour contrast. The Burberry pair features an ultra-lightweight acetate frame with classical lenses highlighted by a bold double bridge, while the Prada cat-eye metal front is accentuated by a wavy double bridge and fine inserts on the upper edges, for contemporary appeal.

EMBELLISHMENT – A FINELY-CRAFTED ACCESSORY

These sunglasses have a cutting-edge structure — a perfect example of modern craftsmanship. The high temples bearing the bold Miu Miu logo are incorporated within this frame, enriched with sparkling crystals of different sizes. The timeless panthos-shaped acetate frame of Tiffany&Co. is accented with the geometric pattern detail on the metal bridge and temples. The tapered cat-eye Valentino frame is decorated with small metal studs, in a silver or gunmetal shade, embellished with bright white Austrian crystals.

LOGO – ICONIC AND DISTINCTIVE DETAILS

The Emporio Armani aviator-style sunglasses have an innovative and lightweight structure: the double-rimmed metal front features lenses set in an inner metal profile and continues on the temples, which displays the brand’s iconic eagle logo. An elegant Tiffany&Co. cat-eye optical acetate frame is accented with a silver Return to Tiffany® tag embellished with the iconic Tiffany Blue® color splash. For the unisex Valentino piece, the frame has a boxy shape and bold profile, characterized by an elegant, contemporary graphic design, where the VLTN logo signs the temples with white macro lettering.

It is now 50 years since mankind took its first daring steps onto the moon – a moment that changed history (and the limits of possibility) forever. On this golden anniversary, OMEGA is celebrating the occasion with a brand new Speedmaster that has a very special connection to the astronauts and the legacy of that Apollo 11 mission.

Marking the golden anniversary of the first moon landing, OMEGA has produced a new Limited Edition Speedmaster of 1,014 pieces. Following the famous design of the Speedmaster BA145.022, this new chronograph is the first watch that is crafted from an exclusive new 18K gold alloy: Moonshine™ gold and is powered by a brand new manual-winding Master Chronometer calibre 3861.

Cheongdam Flagship Store Opening

This February, Chloé unveiled a new 386-square-meter, two-story boutique in the lively luxury shopping district of Cheongdam in Seoul. The eye-catching façade, consists of beige marble stones and the maison’s logo in brass is luminous by day and lit-up at night. Bright glassvitrines covering the two floorsentice passers-by into the light-filled space, as warm and welcoming as a home.

The first floor entrance ushers clients into the accessories universe where an inviting showcase of handbags lines the walls backed in the beige rose 3D motif or beige marble stones. Small leather goods, sunglasses and jewelries including the Chloé’s signature alphabet charms are also here. Mannequins are dressed in edited selection of ready-to-wear looks. Upstairs, on the second floor, the full collection is hung up on brass rails and sits alongside footwear in a laidback atmosphere that echoes Chloé’s sense of carefree ease.

Furnishings and décor express the Chloé vocabulary, mirroring the maison’s flagship boutique on avenue Montaigne which contrasts a light femininity with robust architectural details and an aura of raw, mineral materials. Tender curvilinear forms on the ceiling, floor and furniture echo the roundness of the letters in the Chloé logo while a palette of white and powdery beige rose warmed by a touch of mustard and the glow of brushed or polished natural brass which illuminates the space.

 Vintage designer furniture on the second floor including a private VIP space completed the boutique’s coziness and conviviality. The space lets clients feel relaxed and try on the collection while staying there.

Our story this season is set in the hidden valleys of a magical mountain. We’re at the base of the impressive Majola pass, a winding road connecting two of the Alps’ grand peaks. In summer, the curving road cuts through neon green fields and towering pines, but come winter the road is covered in a blanket of powdery snow: a breathtaking sight that can block the path to the peaks above.

These are the scenes where our tale takes place. And our characters? The mountain’s postal team. When the weather allows, the team leaves their chalet to tackle the ascent in reimagined denim workwear. As they climb to higher altitudes, the postal uniform and mottos adapt to the colours and themes of the higher landscapes. The North Face | Urban Exploration :: S19 ‘Kazuki Collection’

The North Face Urban Exploration is proud to unveil its latest 14-piece Kazuki Collection for Spring 2019, by Japanese designer/graphic artist Kazuki Kuraishi. Available in two highly anticipated drops, across March and April, the unisex line was created for city explorers and reimagines TNF’s ever-iconic Mountain Light Jacket into brand new silhouettes.

Offering a continuity of Kazuki’s distinctive modern-street, minimalist-style direction from last season, the latest release is focused on the designer’s revisioning of TNF’s signature Mountain Light Jacket for an urban landscape. The signature outerwear piece, for example, has been transformed and extended into the Gore-Tex® Light Coat (HKD4,990), with decorative yet functional details and street style. And, although traditionally worn for hiking adventures, the jacket has also been reinterpreted into casual-wear pieces, such as a WindWallä Long-Sleeve Shirt (HKD1,090) and FlashDryä Mountain Long-Sleeve Tee (HKD890). Other key releases from the range include the DryVentä Light Anorak Jacket (HKD3,690) and FlashDryä Full Zip Hoodie (HKD1,590).

Famed as an exceptional “functional streetwear” designer, Kazuki’s career began as an intern for NIGO at the iconic Japanese brand, A Bathing Ape; and flourished under the mentorship of Hiroshi Fujiwara of fragment design. Today, he’s evolved his own signature style that combines a clean “lifestyle aesthetic” with an “easy to wear” approach — yet, always with technical acumen and thoughtful ingenuity.

The 1st drop of Kazuki Collection for Spring 2019 will be launched on March 11, 2019, and its 2nd drop on April 8 at UE Asia stores. The collection will also drop at UE Europe stores, The North Face Prototype Store (Williamsburg) as well as selected retailers on April 8, 2019.
