Sergio Rossi SS 2011

Sergio Rossi, the Italian renowned luxury shoes specialist, held a party to celebrate the 2011 spring summer collection in Shanghai.

In the unique setting of "on the "Bund" riverbank – a renowned stretch of embanked riverfront housed with prestigious and historical edifices. Fashion landmark “Space by Three” metamorphosed itself into a stunning pavilion endowed with women glittering sensuality and Italian glamour by Sergio Rossi. Every unique pair of shoes shined blindingly as a glorious & precious art work.

An imaginary tunnel of deep blue velvet curtains, wall mirrors and plasma screens brought to total immersion into the Sergio Rossi world. A “Primal Beauty” room where the spring summer 2011 prominent styles laid like sculptures on show cases. Plasma screens as picture frames showed beautiful women moving in imagery space.

In the party area sensual models on podiums as modern amazons, wearing the exclusive hand hammered brass accessories, welcomed the selected list of guests as Miss World Zhang Zilin, Miss Universe China Ziya Wei, famous fashion & jewellery designers Han Feng, Judy Hua, Catherine Xu and well known socialites Janice Wang, Lisa Lau move to the sound of DJ Ivy.

For Sergio Rossi the shoe is an object of worship to be adored as a talisman. In the next season, Francesco Russo, Creative Director, balanced decorative elements with pure lines. Brass shines on hand pounded heels or as a cage on leather. Exotic skins, suede, patent are combined with flashy blue, orange and red. Shoes, belts, cuffs and collars in luggage leather and metal become body armor, protecting and empowering.

Opening of its second store in Shanghai

Links of London is delighted to announce the opening of its second store in Shanghai and to introduce its AW10 collection to the public. The event was officiated by Folli Follie China General Manager, Geoffrey Mak. Famous Chinese artist Zhang Yuqi also attended this grand ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new Links of London store is located at Shanghai International Finance Center (Shanghai IFC), which is in the heart of the Pudong financial and trading district, and boasts an area of about 70 square metres. The store design evokes the ‘Fresh London’ concept, which incorporates classic British building design combined with modern elements; light and dark wood furniture, fixtures and floors, luxurious fabric and bespoke wallpaper, to create a space that captures the essence of London’s modern style.
“I am delighted to announce the opening of the new IFC store, which owns a premier location for our customers.

The store is brand new, accommodates Links of London’s updated collections and has an open environment that beautifully showcases its jewellery, watches and accessories.” says Mr. Geoff Mak, General Manager of Folli Follie Group China. “2010 is a special year for Links of London as the brand celebrates its 20th birthday. Links of London also takes this opportunity to introduce its AW10 collection and our global brand ambassador, Cat Deeley to the Chinese market. Cat Deeley not only brings her own Fresh London feel to the brand’s year round campaign, but she has also designed two friendship bracelets. Autumn/Winter looks set to be one of the most exciting seasons for Links of London.


The new Spring/Summer 2011 Tod’s collection for women focuses on the quality of the leathers, such as ultra supple calf leather and precious crocodile and python skins, which play with the colour nuances found in nature.
The mix of the surface textures with the underlying structure of the skins brings out the natural colour of the leather. When paired with a selection of colour combinations, such as neutral with primary colours or a mix of only primary colours, the leather still reveals its core natural hue despite the applied touches of vibrant colour.

The Ballerina shoe is reinvented with new details of a mirror accessory on the toe cap but of course in keeping with its traditional icon pebble details.

The iconic Gommino is back! The combination of special materials and a contemporary ethos convey the brand’s perfect balance between its strong traditional roots and its inherent modernity.

The new styles for the men’s SS11 collection in leather are the embodiment of modernity, luxury and practicality: The silhouettes are soft and the lines simple; and the entire collection is crafted in the finest materials.  An iconic and elegant collection that is absolutely contemporary. With refined details and artisanal cuts: a chic but simple collection designed for a fast paced and elegant life. 

The Competition shoe is a new design with a slightly thicker rubber sole for comfort. Available in a range of vintage leathers from washed grey to light blue.  With a slip-resistant rubber sole it is the perfect casual shoe to wear at the weekend.

The traditional men’s Gommino is presented with a twist! Maintaining the rubber pebbles but accessorized with a leather string detail just like the Tod’s “My Colours” bracelet.

The Magic of the Body

Shanghai – A fascination for the beauty of the female body has been for 35 years the driving force behind Embry's growing success. From the early days to today, the founder of Embry, Mr. Cheng reminds his growing team of designers and R&D people about his mission to help women to achieve the shape and comfort theydesire. The many Embry patents remind us that the lingerie gala in which we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Embry Group is the fruit of dreams and research.

In those 35 years Embry has seen the role of lingerie in a woman's life changing. From an industry focused on improving functionality and comfort – the part of thelingerie industry sees its role changing. Fashion is now the driving force as lingerie becomes Bodyfashion spanning from pure functional corsetry to sexy seduction, sport underwear and beachwear.

With the female body as the big star, the Gala Show is a celebration of these different roles of modern lingerie, illustrated by a cross selection out of the four brands that are the pillars of the Embry Group: Embry Form, Fandecie, Comfit and Liza Cheng.

Modern architecture has inspired form and colour.

Sergio Rossi has enriched its iconic footwear collection that women adore by adding an intensely and intimately sensuous Fur Capsule Collection.

The Fall/Winter 2010 collection, designed by Francesco Russo, Creative Director of the brand, is a tribal invitation to embrace desire.
