At their 1881 Heritage & Flagship store, Montblanc held an exclusive press preview of the latest Bohème collection at which guests were invited to the “Bohème Secret Garden” to discover the attributes that make a Montblanc Bohème lady.
The Bohèmespirit codes today’s intelligent and independent ladies, who each possess a distinctive personality and innate glamour that exudes confidence. Her free personality and rich life experience allow her to establish her personal style. With enthusiasm, determination, courage and inspiration, the Bohème lady is always ready to light up the world.
During the event, the Maison’s flagship was transformed into a secret garden, where guests could experience the Bohème spirit in a number of different zones. The “Glamorous Zone”,lushly bedecked with hanging vinesand flowers, is designed to bring versatility to style while the “Writing Zone”allows guests to express their thoughts. In the spirit of the Bohème Lady, Montblanc also invited guests to join a floral lamp decoration workshopat the “Stylish Zone”, where guests could design and personalize their own initialed lamp with floral motifs and delicate ornamentation.
The Bohème Collection enriches the codes of fine watchmaking with sophisticated femininity, combining exquisite craftsmanship with tasteful expertise. Traditional decorations dance upon every dial, with guilloché, gem-setting, miniature gold-work or hand-painting, leaving their distinctive marks on every piece. Additionally, the excellent craftsmanship continues across the sophisticated cases which feature slightly curved faceted horns, sculpted onion crowns, and bezels set with sparkling diamonds, which serve to enhance the refined finish of each timepiece. Leaf-shaped hands and floral Arabic numerals hark back to the natural beauty of the Bohème Lady, while an even closer look reveals the little touches – such as the minute scales with raised red gold-plated dots, and the internal hour rings – which reveal the artistry that is integral to the creation of every Bohème timepiece.
The contemporary Bohème Lady is one who knows herself best – something which Montblanc readily appreciates, having fitted its new Bohème timepieces with an interchangeable strap mechanism that allows one to easily change straps with a simple release button. In doing so, Montblanc offers women the choice to define their own distinctive style: from black alligator straps to stylish coloured calfskin wristbands, switching straps is as simple as changing outfits – an acknowledgement of the characteristic sense of style and personality that makes the Bohème Lady so unique.
The Bohème Automatic Date model in stainless steel comes in a new shade of blue in two dimensions and the silvery-white mother-of-pearl dials feature a shell guilloché pattern. To complete the overall blue aesthetic, the Bohème Automatic Date is equipped with new blue-jeans-coloured straps fitted with an interchangeable strap mechanism.
