Christmas menu 2018 – Maximal Concepts

Three of Maximal Concepts venues – The Flying Elk, Blue • Butcher and Meat Specialist and Limewood are presenting special Christmas menu for guests to celebrate the feast with their loved ones.

The Flying Elk

The Flying Elk is debuting a dazzling array of festive selections with the theme of ‘Traditional Swedish Christmas’, showcasing a variety of seasonal ingredients in the Nordic style. The 4 course tasting menu kick off with ‘S.O.S’ – a starter comprising a few kinds of herring that are served with Butter and Bread. Following would be a slightly filling dish, ‘Janssons temptation’ that cooked potatoes in oven and is flavoured with anjovis (Swedish anchovies), cream and onions. The main would be the penchant Nordic dish – ‘Meatball’ that is prepared in the most authentic way, serve with mash potatoes and pickled cucumber. This center piece is highlighted with lingonberries and smoothing cream sauce. A hearty dessert, ‘Chocolate’, a cinnamon & cloves infused mousse will enchant diners’ tastebud till the end of the meal. Optional wine pairing is offered in $198.

Blue • Butcher and Meat Specialist

Following the success of last year, Blue presents the Free Range Hunter Valley Turkey (semi-deboned) as the core piece of its Christmas menu this year.

To begin with, diners will be served with the Blue signature corn bread. After igniting guests’ appetite, the Turkey will be presented with homemade gravy and cranberry sauce. Two enticing signature side dishes are also served, featuring Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Green Bean with Honey and Chili. The festive feast will not be completed without stuffing, our Homemade Turkey Sage is another delights that fills your stomach.

The sumptuous meal ends with the homemade buttery Toffee Pumpkin pie, a sweeting end to your festive meal.

Limewood

Limewood provide an alternative options to guests that seeks to celebrate Christmas with a Turkey menu that combine flavours from South East Asia, Hawaiian, South American and Caribbean.

Executive Chef Russell Doctrove puts his own unique touch to the classic centerpiece – our version of Free Range Hunter Valley Turkey (semi de-boned) is seasoned with Achiote Marinade, giving the skin a deep red hue and complex taste that stimulate your appetite.

To start, guests can enjoy the Limewood Cornbread. Then, complementing the succulent and aromatic turkey are the side dishes that are flavoured with creative flair. Highlight of the sides – Turkey sage stuffing are made with flavorsome Tukey juice. The Roasted Kale are mixed with deep-fried garlic and shallots; and Fried Potato is seasoned with coriander and lime aioli – these vivid yet delicious vegetables help balancing out the meaty main course.

The festive menu will not be completed without a delectable dessert. Differs from traditional confections, we have prepared rich and complex sweet potato rum pie , topped with cinnamon rum ice cream to indulge your sweet tooth.
