Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2017 Collection

Fall 2017 Collection
An eccentric, eclectic glamour is cast throughout the collection. The notion of dance and spontaneous movement is evoked via color block knits, cropped cross-over jersey sweaters layered over fluid bias-cut dresses and a roomy, elegant dolman-sleeve coat.

A rapturous array of clashing yellow, rich chestnut, cerulean blue and deep violet is arrestingly mixed back to black and camel. For prints, illustrative, expressive hand-drawn lines are offset by optic, vibrant linear motifs that together create a discordant dynamic.

Unexpected combinations of materials create an off-kilter dichotomy: oversized angora knits layered with satin; nappa leather teamed with printed silk charmeuse; leopard print and long, loose-knit scarves. Outerwear addresses relaxed daywear as well as evening dressing: notably, novelty bombers, exaggerated faux fur chubbies, and a bonded patent leather jacket.

Accessories include point-toe kitten heel Chelsea boots in monochrome leather, and boxy, compact calf hair and sequin handbags with decorative straps and hardware. Jewelry riffs on punkish chains of pearls, delicate yet artful statement single earrings, and bracelets of fine gold strands.
