BERLUTI SHOWCASES FIRST COLLECTION AT JOYCE CENTRAL
Haider Ackermann’s first season at the helm of the Berluti promulgates the Parisian house’s timeless aesthetic. Key to the FW’17 collection is “patina” and the belief that age and wear can in fact bring a treasured garment to life.
Originally a specialist in bespoke shoemaking, the Berluti brand has created a name for itself with a history of debonair accessories. The addition of ready-to-wear ranges has further demonstrated classic craftsmanship with admirable contemporary sensibility.
Influenced by the dark, nocturnal hues of renowned artist Francis Bacon’s work, Ackermann captures the dawn light as a lone figure makes their way home through the shadows of city streets. The dark black-green leather, deep blue velvets and dusty pinks are accented with burgundy and flashes of red.
JOYCE Central will host Berluti’s first ever pop-up, complete with a custom leather-bound foosball table for customers’ entertainment. A selection of this season’s accessories and ready-to-wear collection will be available for purchase at all JOYCE stores from late October.
