Katharine Pooley Launches Furniture Collection with Adam Williams

Renowned interior designer Katharine Pooley will launch her debut furniture collection at Decorex International 2018. Created in partnership with respected English furniture maker Adam Williams, The Chatsworth Collection exemplifies the finest British craftmanship and luxurious, detailed design.

Katharine and her studio of 47 interior designers and architects have long been lauded for uniquely designing every facet and project detail for their clients, using the best of England and Europe’s artisans, makers and craftspeople.

For the six-piece Chatsworth Collection, Katharine has drawn upon her many travel experiences. For example, abstract cloud formations inspired marble choices on sourcing trips to Italy. Clean lines, aerodynamic ellipses and precise detailing have been carefully realised in a soft, bronze patina in the Adam Williams workshop in Somerset, England.

The bronze and marble pieces two styles of console, a mirror, side tables and a drinks table featuring rich and contemporary finishes. Katharine ensured that every piece in the collection has been seamlessly constructed with impeccable hand finishes including Calacatta Rosata, Ivory Oryx and Portoro Gold Marble.

The collection will be on display at Decorex International from 16th to 19th September 2018 at stand A30. All pieces will be available to purchase during the event. For her stand, Katharine has collaborated with a host of her favourite suppliers, including De Gournay who have designed a new wallpaper which they are painting specifically for the show. The stand will also feature an 8.5 metres flower wall of freshly cut white blossoms and a praline chocolate fountain. The furniture will be displayed on dramatic white plinths set upon a beautifully crushed silk carpet.

In addition to the stand, Katharine will take part in a Decorex panel discussion on 17th September at 3 pm. Katharine will be joined by Staffan Tollgard, Jo Hamilton, Letitia Fitzgibbon and Matteo Bianchi to discuss the growing trend of interior designers who are diversifying into product design. Following this, Katharine will sign copies of her book Journey by Design at stand A30 at 4.30 pm.

Following Decorex, The Chatsworth Collection will be available to purchase from Katharine Pooley’s boutique in South Kensington and www.katharinepooley.com.
