NIRAV MODI High Jewelry Showcase at La Biennale des Antiquaires 2017

International luxury jeweler and haut diamantaire, NIRAV MODI showcased the brand’s high jewelry collection at the 29th La Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris from September 11th to 17th, 2017. Following a successful debut at the fair last September, NIRAV MODI presented for the second consecutive time this year, parading all new creations of the highest order.

As a third generation diamantaire, Nirav Modi built on his family’s legacy in launching his eponymous brand in 2010. NIRAV MODI was established with the passion to create extraordinary diamond jewelry that celebrates every woman’s beauty, and at the Biennale, Mr. Modi’s newest high jewelry creations offered a distinctive design, unparalleled craftsmanship, innovative skill and the finest and rarest gems from all over the world. A passionate art collector, Mr. Modi draws inspiration from diverse sources, spanning from ancient mythology to 16th Century paintings by Rubens, the art of Monet, Art Nouveau architecture and the works of contemporary Indian artists. Influenced by the Mughal era, the magnificence of the Maharajahs and the Impressionist movement, the jewels celebrate light and rhythm while combining a distinct sense of airiness and opulence. Their litheness and fluidity make them as light as silk.

Brought to the fore at the exhibition against a gorgeous bougainvillea paper-art backdrop included NIRAV MODI Majestic Mogok Ruby Suite and the Sakura Necklace and Earrings – both vivid embodiments of the luxury jeweler’s ambition and commitment to create with only the finest of jewels and exceptional craftsmanship. Featuring 27 superlative mesmerizing rubies from the legendary Mogok mine in Burma, the stately silhouette of Majestic Mogok Ruby Suite evokes a candlelit splendor of royal palaces with its captivating crimson hue and gleaming translucency that is considered the best in the world.

The Sakura Necklace and Earrings fully embody the jeweler’s dedication to craftsmanship and the appreciation to heritage and culture. With its inspiration stemming from vibrant blooming Sakura flowers, these exquisite two-toned jewels feature over a hundred of emerald-cut solitaire diamonds along with micro-set diamonds, creating a glorious and vivid play of light within the suite and paired with its elegant design and setting encapsulates the wearer’s beauty and allure in a glistening aura.
