Creative Director of Womenswear Nataša Čagalj, who studied in London at Central Saint Martins, and her team’s new autumn-winter 2017 collection bring to the fore a sense of their hometown. The video was taken at the designer studio located in the Clerkenwell district in Central London, where the Ports 1961 designer team is based and also where the collection is conceived. Inspirations of the collection come from a space covered with natural lights and artistic atmosphere which brings up the feeling of a familiar and comfortable place we called home. Objects, colours and textures from the home inspire the pieces, which are put together with the underlying signature humour and refinement within the new Ports 1961. Distant from the city’s manufactured products, the design team’s meticulous spirit and comprehensive craftsmanship using threads and needles and handmade materials in its most natural form perfect one-of-a-kind Ports 1961 pieces.
