Wine, Pasta, & Good Company: Nocino’s “Take Me to Ticino” Sharing Grotto Menu Is Here

Dining in Ticino is a ritual, one best enjoyed in good company with freshly made pasta, seasonal dishes meant for sharing, and glasses of rare Swiss Merlot in hand. Nocino’s new “Take Me to Ticino” Sharing Grotto Menu (HK$568 per person), available at the Tai Hang and Kwun Tong branches, brings this Alpine tradition to Hong Kong, curating a signature selection of the beloved restaurant’s rustic bites, small plates, housemade pastas, and a chef’s special that pays homage to the soulful cuisine of the region.

The “Take Me to Ticino” Sharing Grotto Menu is a feast designed for convivial dining, featuring two small bites, two small plates, one pasta, one chef’s special, and one dessert. The journey begins with bites like Arancini Ticinese, infused with merlot and porcini, and the fried ‘Malakoff’, a golden Swiss Gruyère fried cheese fondue. Then come the small plates, where dishes such as the Burrata, Fig Mostarda, layered with pistachio and prosciutto, and the Veal Tongue Tonnato, elevated with squid ink dressing and caperberries, bring bold yet refined flavours. Handmade pasta follows, with choices like the indulgent Ox Cheek & Pickled Walnut Ragù Pappardelle, the briny and peppery Brown Crab Cacio e Pepe Bucatini, and more. The chef’s special showcases slow-braised classics, from Ossobuco Milanese with saffron risotto, to Turkey Brasato with truffle garlic rosemary polenta. For dessert, guests can choose between Odette’s Tiramisu, served with Ticino’s signature dark walnut liqueur, Nocino, or the decadent Mont Blanc Chestnut & Blackcurrant Cheesecake.

No Ticinese meal is complete without wine, and Nocino’s pairing experience (HK$350 per person) highlights the rare white, rosé, and red Merlots of Ticino – expressions shaped by the region’s Alpine climate, mineral-rich soils, and sun-drenched vineyards. The Brivio Rosata Rovere offers delicate layers of wild strawberry, peach, and candied citrus, accented by a whisper of vanilla, while the Brivio Bianco Rovere is bright yet structured, balancing citrus and tropical fruit with soft vanilla and a refined depth. For those who prefer something bolder, the Brivio Vini Red Merlot is a deep ruby-hued pour with bold berry notes, roasted spice, and a velvety finish. Nocino’s Swiss wines are now available in 37.5cl bottles, perfectly sized for two to share – an invitation to explore this hidden gem of a wine region, one sip at a time.

To complement the menu, Nocino’s beverage program also introduces two new handcrafted cocktails that bring a taste of the region beyond the glass. The Tamaro Sbagliato reimagines a classic Italian aperitivo, blending the boldness of Campari with crisp apple vermouth and effervescent sparkling wine for a refreshingly bitter-sweet sip. Meanwhile, the Nocinotini is a rich, velvety creation featuring Nocino, dark rum, and coffee Marsala, deep, aromatic, and perfect for slow sipping.

The “Take Me to Ticino” Sharing Grotto Menu is a love letter to Swiss-Italian hospitality where every dish is meant to be passed around, every sip lingers, and every meal turns into a memory.
