Following its highly successful launch just 5 months ago, Twinpalms Tented Camp Phuket, a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is delighted to unveil new wellness experiences designed to deepen the connection between guests and the stunning surroundings.

As the island’s first luxury tented retreat, this exclusive adults-only hideaway is quickly establishing itself as a one-of-a-kind destination in Phuket. Featuring just 28 luxurious tented 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom suites, set against the tropical backdrop of the Andaman Sea on Bangtao’s soft white sandy beach, and nestled within weaving lagoon waterways just moments away.

As the resort prepares to further elevate its guest offering with a thoughtful expansion into wellness, it now invites guests to balance a luxury escape with optional wellbeing. These new experiences are designed to harmonise with the tranquil environment, encouraging guests to connect more deeply with themselves and the lush tropical surroundings.

Launching in May 2025, the resort unveils a brand-new fitness studio outfitted with premium fitness equipment from NOHrD—a German brand celebrated for its sustainable materials, precision engineering and contemporary design. The bright space is flooded with natural light which allows guests to enjoy their fitness routines enveloped by greenery, blending movement and mindfulness.

Just outside the fitness studio, a natural outdoor wellness area offers a cool-down zone with an outdoor shower and a striking ice bath, uniquely carved from a boulder sourced in Bali. This invigorating ritual will serve as a powerful sensory reset, enriching the guest journey with a memorable touch of nature and contrast.

By July, wellness will be further enhanced with the addition of a tropical swimming pool that will overlook the peaceful lagoon. While guests currently have access to the nearby Catch Beach Club and The Lazy Coconut, just a minute away by buggy or a short walk, the new on-site pool will offer a secluded and meditative setting for relaxation.

In keeping with the resort’s ethos of meaningful, curated experiences, the popular Daily Moments programme has been expanded to include wellbeing activities such as sunrise meditation and yoga, lotus petal folding workshops, mango and sticky rice tastings, chime hanging rituals and gathering around the central campfire at sunset to reflect on the day. These intimate rituals aim to enhance the connection with nature and self, remain at the heart of the Twinpalms experience.

These enhancements come in addition to the existing Spa Tent, a dedicated sanctuary where guests can enjoy bespoke treatments delivered by expert therapists, which may be enjoyed individually or as a couple. Embracing a holistic approach, the spa blends traditional Thai healing techniques with contemporary therapies and guests may choose to experience their treatments in the Spa Tent or opt for an in-tent massage within the privacy of their own tent.

Martin Palleros, the acclaimed landscape architect behind the resort’s design, reflects on the unique setting: “When I first looked at the Bangtao site I thought it was an opportunity for a rare blend of rural Thai landscape and modern beachside convenience. The presence of water channels, large trees and buffalos creates a setting that feels immersive and natural—something you’d expect in the remote Thai countryside rather than near a popular beach destination.”
