CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN FW25 COLLECTION

Christian Louboutin is introducing a Fall/Winter 2025 Men’s collection that redefines classic sartorial silhouettes through modern elegance. A standout highlight is his collaboration with painter and pro-surfer Otis Carey, who brings his cool artistic energy to the season’s designs. “I wanted to keep in mind the aesthetic of Christian Louboutin but also add something new and fresh that might not have been used before and push boundaries.” Carey recently said of this new partnership, who drew on his Australian heritage to create colourfully vibrant prints exclusively for the project.

As a surfer, the artist’s deep connection to the ocean serves as a constant source of inspiration. “Gaagal” means “ocean” in the Indigenous Aboriginal language of Carey’s upbringing, and for Christian Louboutin, he created an exclusive design named Toile Enduite Gaagal to use on a special edition of the classic Louis sneaker, developed to look and feel like a real painting, then protected with a water-repellent coating. Gaagal Couture elevates these dynamic designs with rhinestones and studs, hand-finished on silk crepe satin and showcasing the unparalleled craftsmanship of the Maison. The Moc College Gaagal and Mule College Gaagal feature lasercut, hand-dyed calf leather, woven in a nod to Carey’s wave motif and seamlessly stitched onto chunky soles — offering an elegantly understated yet striking style of shoe.
