Ella Yam joins the OMEGA Family

OMEGA is delighted to welcome Ella Yam, daughter of renowned supermodel QiQi Yam and Hong Kong acting icon Simon Yam, as new Friend of the Brand.

Following in the footsteps of her celebrated parents, who represented OMEGA as brand ambassadors for over a decade since the 90s, Ella brings her own distinctive approach to style, academia and fashion.

Currently pursuing studies in Sociology, Finance and Mathematics, she exemplifies the modern generation’s ability to balance creative pursuits with intellectual rigour. Whether studying between fashion shoots or conducting interviews while traveling to fashion shows, Ella demonstrates the same dedication to excellence that drives OMEGA’s watchmaking philosophy.

Q&A With Ella Yam

Q: How do you manage your time?
I live between many worlds—fashion and academia. For me, time is of the essence. During fashion shoots, while I’m in the makeup chair, I’m studying AI or editing my sociology essay. On flights between shows, I’m working through math calculations, drafting papers, and preparing questions to interview CEOs. Time is part of my identity.

Q: How do you connect your personal style with OMEGA?
I love the character of my family’s items—from wearing my parents’ OMEGA watches to styling my father’s blazers at university. Mixing and matching these timeless pieces with modern fashion allows me to express my individuality

Q: As you enter your 20s, what are your aspirations?
Just as OMEGA creates watches that bridge heritage and modernity, I strive to live a life where knowledge and beauty, creativity and artistry come together in harmony to create something lasting.

Q: What is your favourite OMEGA piece?
It’s actually difficult for me to choose just one from the OMEGA collections, as I can envision many styling possibilities that highlight my character and style. I would say the latest Aqua Terra 30 mm, which I wore during my very first project with OMEGA a few months ago. Having grown up with OMEGA, I have a special connection and love for the brand. It’s part of my daily life and an everyday essential that effortlessly complements any occasion and outfit, especially since I can also wear my parents’ watches.
