CHANEL is delighted to present CHANEL HAUTE COUTURE, edited by Sofia Coppola in collaboration

with the House and Éditions 7L.

Tracing the history of CHANEL Haute Couture from the early twentieth century to today, this book

features fashion photography, previously unseen sketches, runway show images, as well as behind-

the-scenes documents and archival material.

At the age of fifteen, Sofia Coppola took up a summer internship in the CHANEL Creation Studio in

Paris. This unforgettable experience marked the beginning of a long-term relationship with the House,

enriched over the years by numerous collaborations. The latest of these is this fascinating book in

which the filmmaker, true to her unique style of collage and assemblage, tells a visual story of CHANEL

Haute Couture.

From Gabrielle Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard, this 450-page volume brings together

friends of the House and iconic models from every decade dressed in CHANEL Haute Couture, caught

on film by the greatest photographers.

Imagined with the support of CHANEL and designed by Anamaria Morris for Joseph Logan Design,

CHANEL HAUTE COUTURE is co-published by Éditions 7L and Important Flowers, Sofia Coppola’s

publishing imprint at the house of MACK. It will be launched worldwide on 8th September 2025.
