Featuring Gula Melaka Pandan Roll Cake by Texture Pâtisserie
Hong Kong — Afternoon tea gets a decadent seasonal makeover at The Lobby Lounge, Regent Hong Kong, with a limited-time collaboration featuring the celebrated Malaysian pastry house Texture Pâtisserie by C3 Lab. Available from 22 September to 31 October, the exclusive set celebrates craftsmanship, flavour, and cross-cultural creativity—with one hero: the Gula Melaka Pandan Roll Cake.
At HK$888 for two, the curated set balances refined savoury bites with intricate desserts from Texture’s award-winning duo Lawrence Cheong Jun Bo (Asia’s “Chocolate Prince”) and Chong Ko Wai (the “Architect of Cakes”).

Where East Meets Artisanal Pâtisserie
This season’s signature sweet, the Gula Melaka Pandan Roll Cake, blends Malaysian tradition with contemporary finesse—moist, fragrant, and delicately rolled with finesse. Alternatively, guests may opt for the equally elegant Pure Vanilla Roll Cake, crafted with the same exacting technique Texture Pâtisserie is known for.
Also on the dessert menu: a Chocolate Caramel Tart using 70% dark chocolate, a Pamplemousse Cheesecake, and a creative take on Sesame Pulut. The Artisan Chocolate Texture Bar, infused with maple pecan praline, orange confit, and soft caramel, provides a luxurious finishing note.

Savoury Bites, Done Right
The savoury tier offers more than a supporting role—think Smoked Salmon with Avocado Wasabi, Beef Pastrami with Pommery Mustard, and an indulgent Blue Crab with Egg Mimosa and Perseus Caviar. Classic scones come with clotted cream, apricot jam, and a house-made kaya jam that takes two hours to prepare—a subtle nod to the set’s Southeast Asian influence.
A selection of premium teas or coffee is included, and guests may elevate the experience with Henriot Brut Souverain Champagne (HK$368 for two glasses).
Take a Slice Home
Lovers of the Texture Roll Cakes can also purchase full-sized Gula Melaka Pandan or Pure Vanilla cakes for HK$398 each—available both at The Lobby Lounge and online.
The Verdict
This collaboration feels timely, thoughtful, and elegant. It’s not just a tea set—it’s a sensory journey across cultures, created by two of Asia’s most creative pastry minds. Whether you’re a dessert aficionado or simply after a unique tea experience in Hong Kong, this offering at Regent Hong Kong is a must-try this autumn.
