Hong Kong – Hublot introduced the BIG BANG MECA-10 CONCRETE HONG KONG NIGHTS, a vivid tribute to Hong Kong, a city where tradition and innovation collide in breathtaking harmony. Renowned for its striking skyline of concrete skyscrapers, Hong Kong transforms after sunset into a dazzling spectacle, its streets aglow with the vibrant hues of neon lights. These lights, once mere advertisements, have evolved into an integral part of the city’s cultural fabric, shaping its identity and casting a mesmerizing glow over its urban landscape.

“The Big Bang Meca-10 Concrete Hong Kong Nights is an ode to Hong Kong, a city where tradition and modernity collide, and where the urban landscape transforms into a kaleidoscope of color and light after dark. This timepiece reflects the city’s unparalleled vibrancy and its dynamic rhythm.” stated Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot.

Limited to 15 pieces, this exclusive 44mm special edition is encased entirely in matte concrete, a material first introduced by Hublot in the 2016 “Concrete Jungle New York” series. The concrete case, inspired by Hong Kong’s distinctive skyline of reinforced concrete skyscrapers, is rendered with Hublot’s signature sophistication. Bold yet refined, the watch is unapologetically urban, mirroring Hong Kong’s unyielding energy and architectural prowess. The skeletonized matte black lacquered dial is brought to life with Super-LumiNova enhanced by UV PLUS technology, which allows the colours on the dial to shift and shimmer depending on light exposure. This play of light mirrors the ever-changing glow of Hong Kong’s streets after sunset, creating a dynamic and captivating effect. Even the hands are treated with the same luminous material, evolving in hue as they reflect the city’s vibrant nightlife.

Beneath its urban-inspired exterior, the watch is powered by the HUB1201 movement, an in-house skeletonized manual-winding caliber that delivers an extraordinary 10-day power reserve. The movement showcases a twin-barrel design and features a rack-and-pinion power reserve indicator, marked in red for a clear and intuitive read of remaining energy. The architecture of the movement is elegantly exposed, its intricate design echoing the complexity and precision of Hong Kong’s ever-moving cityscape.

The timepiece comes with two interchangeable straps, featuring Hublot’s One-Click strap changing mechanism for effortless transitions. The first strap, crafted in grey calfskin, complements the concrete case with its soft, refined texture. The second strap, made of grey camouflage rubber, evokes the gritty textures of asphalt and urban pavement, embodying the raw essence of the “concrete jungle.”

The watch is presented in a “Green Box” case, accompanied by a UV lamp that highlights the unique Super-LumiNova accents on the dial and hands.

The Big Bang Meca-10 Concrete Hong Kong Nights is more than just a watch—it is a dynamic homage to a city where concrete, neon lights, and life intertwine. This exclusive piece is limited to just 15 pieces, will be available only at select Hublot boutiques.
