The Lounge, a stunning new wine-focused space on the Mezzanine level of the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel, is celebrating its first year of operation with a Seasonal Wine Flight – presenting a great value tasting of 4 glasses of sommelier-selected premium French wines for $498.
With natural light streaming through two-storey windows, the elegant and airy venue seamlessly transforms from a relaxed daytime gathering point into a sophisticated wine destination in the evening accompanied by live jazz performances. The most standout feature of The Lounge is a breathtaking curved under- and over-ground wine cellar Vin et Vin which showcases a remarkable collection of over 1,000 old and new world wines. From classic vintages to rare labels and exquisite boutique wines, the meticulously sourced selection is curated by Director of Wine Sam Chong and represents an award-winning range of terroirs and grapes from around the globe. A sculptural spiral staircase descends into a sleek, temperature-controlled cellar, in which guests are warmly invited to join the sommeliers on a tour to handpick their own wines in an intimate, immersive experience.

The most unique proposition is that all of the wines are available at exceptional value – and often even below retail prices. Whether guests take the wines home, drink them comfortably from high quality stemware at The Lounge itself, or enjoy them in one of the hotel’s restaurants corkage-free. This one-of-a-kind venue is equally inviting for seasoned wine enthusiasts and curious newcomers.
The Seasonal Wine Flight, offered until the end of November, is priced at $498 and includes three different premium French wines – one sparkling, one white and one red – each selected by a different sommelier from the expert team at The Lounge. You get one glass of each and one extra glass of the one you liked the most.
In addition, a two-hour free-flow wine package is on offer daily, for which patrons can try up to 8 different wines from a specific region for only $298 – with the wine theme varying regularly. There is also an extensive list of 14 very reasonably priced sommelier-selected wines by the glass which is refreshed regularly.

The Lounge also presents a curated selection of western delicacies infused with Chinese ingredients, thoughtfully paired with wines, alongside Hong Kong-style tapas by Executive Chef Gary Wong. The menu reimagines small plates with a bold, contemporary twist, including Beef Tartare with Sichuan Pepper, Spring Onion and Toast; Deep-fried Zuwai Crab Claws stuffed with Shrimp and Squid Mousse and Chilled Crystal Century Egg and Pickled Ginger. During the day, The Lounge serves an array of light Western and Asian meals, including seasonal afternoon tea with homemade desserts and over 35 house-brewed teas and coffees.

Since its debut last year, The Lounge and Vin et Vin have been slowly redefining the wine experience in the city, offering a dynamic, design-forward space where storytelling, craftsmanship, and taste converge. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or simply curious, this is where wine becomes conversation, culture, and connection — all in one unforgettable pour.
