Aesop fragrances comprise an intricate matrix of ingredients, both laboratory-made and from botanical sources, resulting in a pleasant aromatic surprise. Aesop emphasises the five senses experience, not just a single one. Senses do not only facilitate our brains to understand the environment, but are also the key to memory.
From now until 14 July, Aesop’s Harbour City, Gough Street stores will display its full sized individual hand-cast plaster noses, spritzed with the brand’s fragrance, for the public to engage their senses of smell, sight, touch and taste.
Furthermore, selected stores (Hysan ll, Fashion Walk ll) offer its Fragrance Armoire, a doored cabinet displaying all of the brand’s latest fragrances. Some have scented discs, while others are paired with an infusion chamber, for guests to have a garment suffused with a scent of their choice.
YOHO Mall Store Opening
Drawing inspiration from the forms and rhythms of Mahjong, Aesop’s latest YOHO mall consists of the following unique designs,
-
Local artisan, Ho Sau Mei (who has been handcrafting tiles in 1962) manually crafted a bespoke inscription (春夏秋冬) into the resin, which is inset into the display bench and counter
-
Store designed in a space of stacked forms in resin, bronze and bamboo, reminiscent of the “stacking of tiles” during a game of Mahjong
-
Color of the store is Mahjong Green
-
Communal bronze basin inspired by a figurative bird bath
