Brickhouse, the multi-awarded Mexican restaurant & bar is launching a refreshed menu. With a focus on deep flavours and new cooking techniques, the Brickhouse culinary team have reinvented old classics as well as introduced some incredible new dishes and flavours to the menu, developed from inspiration after a recent road trip to Mexico City.
Introducing new tastes to classic Mexican dishes and focusing on the flavours from different types of meat, new options include dishes such as the Dos Mole Pollo, where marinated baby chicken is cooked with two types of mole; mole de la casa & green mole and served with a house green slaw. The Mexican Scotch Egg, served with a jalapeno marmalade perfectly showcases how an iconic dish can be reinvented with a dash of creativity and a modern twist. Also on the menu is a 24-hour Slow Cooked Beef Rib, requiring a long preparation time where the beef rib is marinated and slow cooked for 24 hours, before being served with salsa de la casa and home-made lemon lime condiments. It will then be shredded at the table and guests can enjoy with freshly griddled tortillas.
The tacos have always been craved by food hedonists, made with traditional hand pressed corn tortillas. Five delicious new taco combinations have been named, as per tradition, with cryptic names; the Wagyu Lookin’ At, Piggie Smalls, In Cod We Trust, Cluck You and Prawn To Be Wild. Add extra kick to your taco with homemade chilli condiments, the smoky and spicy Salsa Negra made with Chile de árbol, guajillo, black garlic and cumin, or the fresh and spicy Rocket Fuel made with Panca chillies and mirasol chillies.
Brickhouse’s mixologists have also worked to create cocktails showcasing authentic Mexican flavours to best compliment dishes from the new menu. The innovative cocktails play with some of the best ingredients in Mexico including jalapeños, fresh watermelons, juicy limes and even cigar smoke to exude an authentic Mexican culinary experience. Expect the unexpected with their take on experimental, unusual and flavoursome cocktails to give your night that extra tequila zing!
