Celebrate Christmas the Down Under Way with Exquisite Harbour Views at HUE Dining

Given its landmark location at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Modern Australian restaurant HUE Dining makes the most of its exquisite panoramic views to create the perfect setting for a lingering Christmas celebration with set lunch and dinner menus, champagne brunch, and festive afternoon tea experiences.

Christmas Three-course Lunch & Four-course Dinner (24 & 25 December 2022)

The four-course Christmas dinner menu is available on both 24 and 25 December 2022, both nights, and is priced at HK$880 per person; the three-course Christmas lunch menu is available on Christmas Day, 25 December 2022, and is priced at HK$780 per person.

Guests will first be welcomed with canapés to share, including Cucumber, Ocean Trout, Salmon Eggs and Sour Cream; Fried Potato Cake, Scallop Cream and Cod Roe; and Profiterole Filled with Truffled Gruyere and Onion Jam.

The choice of starters includes Three Kumamoto Oysters garnished with citrus, cucumber, and wasabi leaf; Gnudi Dumplings, gnocchi-like dumplings served with roasted celeriac, black trumpet mushrooms and garlic chives, topped with shaved black winter truffle; a vibrant Beetroot Salad garnished with yuzu kosho cream, pickled onions and shiso; and Foie Gras Terrine served with blood orange preserve, tarragon, and pumpernickel, a traditional German bread made from coarse rye flour.

For mains, choose from Turbot, served with Oscietra caviar, parsnip fondant and dressed with clam and cider sauce; an elegant take on Christmas turkey, Pressed Turkey is wrapped with sourdough chestnut stuffing with Lapsang jus, served with savoy cabbage and poached quince for a touch of sweetness; or the stunning venison Pithivier dressed with truffle jus, and served with smoked La Ratte potatoes and glazed winter vegetables.

End this delightful meal with the decadent choice of Black Forest, layered with textures of dark chocolate, Kirsch cherry compote and cultured cream; or the classic Christmas dessert from the Downunder, Pavlova, the crispy meringue is topped with macerated cherries, lemon balm and the herbal verbena.

Festive Champagne Brunch (24, 26, 27 December 2022)

Refined, inviting, and combining exquisite modern Australian cuisine with a touch of celebration, the Festive Champagne Brunch menu at HUE Dining is available on 24, 26 and 27 December, 2022,  from 11 am to 3:30 pm. Priced at HK$550 per person, the special brunch includes a selection of sharing starters, one main, and one dessert.

Free flow options are priced from HK$360 per person and include Taittinger Brut Reserve champagne, a selection of 10 premium red and white wines, and the venue’s popular Bloody Marys. Alternatively, for HK$190 per person, enjoy an alcohol-free package consisting of two mocktails from the menu and one tea or coffee.

This sumptuous brunch offering commences with an assortment of house-made sharing dishes, including the wholesome freshly baked House Bread with Christmas nut butter; Fried Potato Cakes topped with scallop cream and cod roe; Foie Gras Terrine served with blood orange preserve, tarragon, and pumpernickel; Grilled Eryngii Mushrooms with Grenobloise, charred Cipollini onion and noisette; Roast Pork Belly served with apple puree and kohlrabi slaw on the side; and Hokkaido Scallops sliced raw topped with pickled apple, scallop cream and fennel pollen.

Options for mains include Grilled Duck with Lapsang jus, savoy cabbage and poached quince; Turbot with Oscietra caviar, parsnip fondant with clam and cider sauce; Pressed Turkey wrapped with sourdough chestnut stuffing with burnt celeriac and red currant sauce; Crispy Veal Head served with horseradish, dill emulsion, radishes and mustard leave; and Gnudi Dumplings, gnocchi-like dumplings served with roasted celeriac, black trumpet mushrooms and garlic chives, topped with shaved black winter truffle.

For diners with a sweet tooth, a cake trolley offering intimate table-side service is also available during this festive brunch to ensure the ultimate tribute to all things nice and sweet. Guests will be able to choose from Pain d’épices Custard Tart filled with muscovado and ginger; Financier with Chantilly and chamomile shortbread and topped with pine nuts and apricots; or Black Forest, layered with textures of dark chocolate, Kirsch cherry compote and cultured cream.

Festive Month Afternoon Tea (3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 December 2022)

Inspired by Downunder’s iconic flavours and pastries, the special festive afternoon tea is available on both Saturday and Sunday of 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 December 2022 (excluding Christmas weekend), from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. It is priced at HK$680 for two people and includes a tea set to share and a choice of tea or coffee. The stunning afternoon tea features a range of creative and festive-inspired sweet and savoury delights.

Some of the highlights are Gruyere Custard Profiterole; Truffled Mushroom Croquette; Whipped Cod Roe and Salmon Eggs; Skewered Furikake Wagyu; Mini Pavlova with Lemon Balm and Verbena; Cherry Truffled Lamington; and Hazelnut, Rum and Raisin Chocolate Tart; along with house-made scones served with orange and thyme marmalade, rhubarb jam and cream.
