Funds raised from the sales of Chantecaille’s Cheetah Collection will support the Namibia-based Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) in their vital mission to combat the illegal trade of cheetah cubs in the Horn of Africa. CCF operates three cheetah safe houses and provides 24/7 medical care to rescued cubs.
The illegal wildlife trade poses a serious threat to cheetah populations. In the Horn of Africa, wild cheetah mothers are often chased away or killed, and their cubs are stolen for international trafficking and kept as pets. Tragically, only 1 in 5 of these cubs survive the journey, with many succumbing to disease and malnutrition upon arrival. CCF’s Cheetah Rescue and Conservation Centre (CRCC) in Somaliland plays a critical role in caring for and rehabilitating these confiscated cheetahs, offering them a chance at a better life.
