Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa is proud to announce the launch of its ‘Joie de Vivre’ program, an ultra-exclusive package designed to showcase both the glamour and the simple pleasures of the French Riviera and the surrounding Provençale countryside. The Joie de Vivre program is available from now through to 19th October, 2014.

Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa’s new Joie de Vivre program has been created as a five-day itinerary for two people, inclusive of accommodation in one of the property’s 39 junior suites, decorated with period furniture in Louise XV and Louis XVI styles. The program includes private helicopter transfers to and from Monaco; shopping tours of Monte Carlo and Cannes; a cultural tour of the medieval village of Saint Paul-de-Vence; a full day of wine-tasting in the vineyards of Provence, and a number of gastronomic experiences at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant and award-winning wine cellar.

The Joie de Vivre program begins in style, with guests invited to experience a full-day in Monaco, inclusive of helicopter transfers. Met by their personal helicopter at Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa’s private helipad, guests can enjoy the ten-minute flight to Monte-Carlo taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding Provençale countryside and the Mediterranean coastline. After landing at the Monaco Heliport, guests can opt to be accompanied by their own English or Chinese-speaking guide, who can show them the best shops and restaurants that the principality has to offer, including some of the world’s most exclusive boutiques such as Les vitrines du Raffinement, and La Condamine.

During the second day, guests will be driven in their personal car to the historic town of Cannes for a half-day of shopping and sight-seeing, once again with the option to be accompanied by their own English or Chinese-speaking guide. Here, guests are encouraged to stroll down the town’s shopping streets- La Croisette and Rue d’Antibes, both made famous by the glamorous Cannes Film Festival, and will be introduced to the best restaurants the town has to offer for a leisurely lunch.

After the luxury and glamour of the French Riviera, guests of the Joie de Vivre program will be introduced to the simple pleasures of the surrounding Provençale countryside. The third day includes a half-day visit to the picturesque medieval village of Saint Paul-de-Vence, perched on a precarious cliff-top overlooking rolling vineyards, with an optional English or Chinese-speaking interpreter to guide them through the warren of streets.  Highlights of the tour includes the celebrated village ramparts dated from the 16th Century, as well as the 14th Century Collegiate Church and the market square known as ‘La Place de La Grande Fontaine,’ where villagers would come to wash their clothes and gather under the welcome shade of the horse chestnut trees.

During the fourth and final day of the Joie de Vivre program, guests will be invited to spend a full-day visiting some of Provence’s leading wine chateaux and sampling the region’s renowned roses and white wines with a knowledgeable guide and optional interpreter. The day will include introductions to some of the Chateaux’ owners, as well as wine-tastings and a picnic packed by the hotel.  Following the tour of the vineyards, the Joie de Vivre program also invites guests to sample Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa’s own extensive rare wine collection kept in the cellar. Here, Head Sommelier Geraud Tournier will host a private tasting, and walk guests through a selection of wines and vintages of their choice.

The Joie de Vivre program also includes a dinner for two at Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa’s one-Michelin starred ‘Le Saint-Martin’ restaurant, a lunch for two at the hotel’s bistro ‘Le 180°’ and daily breakfasts for two.

Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa is a former 12th Century Knights Templar Commandery with superb views over the sweep of the Cote d’Azur. A place of pristine natural beauty, the hotel is set in a 32-acre park made up of 300 olive trees.
