COMO Hotels and Resorts’ Metropolitan London

Helps Guests Recover from Tiresome Long-Haul Journeys

Overnight flights can be exhausting; it's impossible to get a good night's sleep with 200 other passengers listening to music and wandering the aisles.  The frequent announcements, turbulence, and uncomfortable seats don't help, either. COMO Hotels and Resorts' Metropolitan London and its NEW COMO Shambhala Urban Escape offer ideal solutions.
To combat fatigue and ensure that travelers are fresh and ready to explore the city, the hotel offers guests a variety of options to kick off their stay.  Herewith the Metropolitan's solutions to a stress-free start:
Red Eye Package
Upon arrival at the hotel, guests are whisked away to the sanctuary of the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape where they are free to shower and relax in a tranquil environment with this new program.  Once they have had time to unwind, the spa
offers a 60-minute COMO Shambhala Massage to improve circulation and to ease
muscle tension.  To complete the recovery process, the spa provides a special breakfast tray, either in the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape or in the privacy of the guest's room.  For those who have time to pass between landing and hotel check-in, the Red Eye Package makes it easy – room access starts at 11:00 AM instead of the usual 2:00 PM.  The package costs £99 (approximately US$155) per person and reservations must be received at least 24 hours before arrival.
Met Pod
For guests not necessarily wishing to elect an early check-in, they may access the Metropolitan's new "Met Pod."  The latest addition to the hotel, it contains a day bed, TV (which doubles as a computer), complimentary Wi-Fi, a Nespresso machine, complimentary soft drinks from the mini bar, and a sink in which to freshen up.  (There is a shower and steam facility directly adjacent to the pod as well.) The room costs £75 and is available either in the morning or afternoon for those departing late in the day.
In-room Yoga and Healthy COMO Shambhala Cuisine
All guests can further rejuvenate after a long flight by taking advantage of in-room yoga.  Each guest room is equipped with a yoga mat and access to a 24/7 yoga television channel.  Guests also have access to the healthful COMO Shambhala Cuisine room service, an Asian-influenced menu with an emphasis on raw foods -the perfect antidote to unhealthy airplane food.  Think Fresh Fruit Salad with Ginger Syrup and Mango Sorbet.  Such a combination is sure to inject energy into the listless traveler.
