Hold on to your chopsticks and soup spoons! Ging Sun Ho King of Bun, Hong Kong’s beloved Shanghainese street food sensation, is officially launching in Macau on 13 May! Making its grand debut at The Venetian Macao, this highly anticipated opening marks the brand’s next bold move in its expansion across Asia.

A brand built on golden crusts and gutsy flavours, Ging Sun Ho is known for breathing new life into traditional Shanghainese comfort food. From its humble beginnings in a 100-square-foot Mong Kok storefront to a household name with 12 outlets in Hong Kong and a successful international opening in Singapore, Ging Sun Ho is now turning its sights to the city of Macau.

A Bite-Sized Story of Big Dreams

After fulfilling his dream of becoming a singer in 2008, founder Oscar Siu boldly set off for Shanghai to pursue a new passion, mastering the art of the pan-fried soup bun. He apprenticed under a Shanghainese master for three years, immersing himself in traditional techniques with the goal of bringing authentic Sheng Jian Bao back to Hong Kong. In 2010, he opened his first store in Hong Kong, and in 2019, officially rebranded the business as Ging Sun Ho King of Bun, marking a bold new chapter for the brand.
