To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival this September, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is offering a delicious selection of mooncakes for all to enjoy, which is the perfect gift to share with family and friends.
Veering away from tradition, Chef Li Shu Tim at One Harbour Road crafted this year’s mooncakes with creativity. Encased in a delicate pastry shell, two tasty mooncake flavours from One Harbour Road are milk custard with bird’s nest and ginger custard with salted egg. Using various ingredients commonly found in Chinese cuisine and without the use of preservative, these delicious handmade mooncakes are in limited supply. Priced at $488 for a set of eight mini cakes in two different flavours (four of each), presented in a stylish box featuring patterns inspired by the porcelain plate collection at One Harbour Road.
Not to be overlooked, The Chocolatier also has handmade mooncakes on offer, with flavours catering to more traditional tastes. Priced at $368, the Full Moon set of four mooncakes features white lotus seed puree with two salted egg yolks, while the Bright Moon set of nine mini mooncakes in milk custard is priced at $338. Bulk purchase discounts are available on mooncakes of traditional flavours*.
The Grand Hamper ($2,688) filled with mooncakes and other tasty delights, such as homemade X.O. chilli sauce and chocolates, French red wine, luxury tea and seasonal fruits, is also available.
Mooncakes and hampers at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong are available to order now and can be collected from 11 August to 12 September 2014.
