Gucci is pleased to announce the opening of the K11 MUSEA store in Hong Kong on August 26,2019.

The boutique spans over 3,240 square feet and showcases a wide collection of men’s and women’s handbags, luggage, shoes, jewelry and watches, accessories, eyewear, and fragrance.

With a look that invites customers to feel welcome and relaxed, the interior design is discreet. Soft elements like velvet armchairs offset harder surfaces and industrial elements, such as rivets. Contemporary luxury is suggested not only by the employment of beautiful and idiosyncratic materials, but also through a determinedly spare use of space. In keeping with the elegant andcontemporary eclecticism that characterizes Gucci’s collections, the store sees the combinationof traditional and modern, industrial and romantic. The concept effortlessly complements theHouse’s product offering.

Contrasting merchandising elements represent different design codes, combining to create curiosity, inviting customers to feel like they are constantly discovering new aspects of the store. Each Gucci boutique is therefore a “cabinet of curiosities”, created to delight and inspire.

The floral-patterned façade panels lined behind glass were specially designed for the K11 MUSEA store and were hand-painted by Italian artisans, and so was the wooden flooring. The mood within the K11 MUSEA is one of discretion, where understated drama is created by the surprising and unexpected combination of materials. Juxtaposition of this sort, where opposites forge a new connection, is repeated throughout: technical, mechanical display units contrast with the softness of the rich fabrics that adorn the rooms; varnished iron wall finishes complement pale green matelassé and smooth velvets used for upholstery. Throughout the store, one finds rich fabric vintage sumptuous chairs, armchairs, and vintage oriental rugs. Plants and their highly decorative pots also enrich the store, embracing the greenery elements. The result is a space that entices, surprises and feels personal to Gucci, offering customers a unique shopping experience.
