Hard Rock Hotel Penang – It Rocks!

Hard Rock Hotel Penang was awarded “Brand Ambassador of the Year 2010” at the recent Hard Rock’s 2011 Global Conference held during the grand opening of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana.
At this award night, Hard Rock International announced the winners of its 2011 Awards in recognition of outstanding accomplishments and dedication of employees, franchisees and partners. Hard Rock selected the top “rock stars” from more than 171 Hard Rock locations in 52 countries and hundreds of partners worldwide. The much-anticipated awards were chosen based on financial performance, unique sales accomplishments, community contributions, creativity, strategic marketing, philanthropy, brand loyalty and leadership.

“It’s awesome to be part of a global brand like Hard Rock. The dedicated efforts by our local employees with the initiatives and support provided by the Orlando support centre is the key success of our achievement in spreading the spirit of Rock ‘N’ Roll in this region and worldwide,” said John Primmer, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Penang.

The Brand Ambassador Award 2010 was presented to Hard Rock Hotel Penang based on its achievement on delivering the Hard Rock brand through active marketing activity and brand compliance. Hard Rock
Hotel Penang has been a resounding success in its region spreading the spirit of Rock ‘N’ Roll through guest services, marketing activities, philanthropy and social media activation.
“With Hard Rock’s ‘Take Time to be Kind’ mantra, we are extremely proud of our philanthropy commitments even though we were only in our first year of operation,” adds Primmer.
Through Hard Rock Hotel Penang’s philanthropy activities, the hotel has contributed over RM60,000 to the local community including various children shelter homes and cancer organizations. The amount was raised through local charity projects such as Rock to Rock Run and other Hard Rock global initiatives like Pinktober® and World Hunger Year.

In addition to that, Hard Rock Hotel Penang continues to create hype and excitement through various events in particularly live music and attractive promotions on stay and dine.
