HARRY WINSTON Ocean Date Moon Phase Automatic 42mm

The House of Harry Winston unveils an Ocean timepiece with an entirely new dial configuration. Still espousing the codes of the Ocean collection, the latest model alters its course and offers a beguiling asymmetrical layout for the phases of the moon, the time and the date. Embellished with shimmering mother-of-pearl and a sea spray of diamonds, the Ocean Date Moon Phase is destined to become a classic.

With a name that conjures nautical adventures, the Ocean collection is the House of Harry Winston’s distinctive take on the luxury sport timepieces. Designed for everyday wear, Ocean models combine resilience and sophisticated contemporary design in equal measure and are renowned for their excentered and biretrograde displays.

Changing Course
Always open to staging complications in novel ways, Harry Winston designers have broken with the symmetry that characterizes the signature Ocean Biretrograde Automatic to reveal a novel asymmetric layout. Equipped with three counters providing the time, date and moon phase functions, the staging of the elements has changed dramatically.

In keeping with the maritime nature of the Ocean collection, white beaded mother-of-pearl is used to create the beautiful iridescent background. Thanks to the multi-layered composition of nacre, the mother-of-pearl produces different wavelengths of light, causing the colors to change when viewed at different angles.

The Art of Mechanical Watchmaking
Like a sailboat that relies on the power of the wind to navigate, the practicality of an automatic movement that harnesses energy from the natural motions of the wrist is unbeatable, making it a perfect ally for everyday wear. With a generous power reserve of 68 hours, the time and date can be set on the crown, and the moon phases can be adjusted with a corrector hidden on the case’s side.
