Island Shangri-la Christmas & New Year Activities

Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong will present a photo scavenger hunt on Facebook, – the social networking service – festive activities, gourmet hampers and holiday gifts for this Christmas and New Year.

“The 12 Days of Christmas” Photo Scavenger Hunt
Starting ahead of the festive season, from 24 November to 31 December 2012, is the “12 Days of Christmas” photo scavenger hunt on Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong’s Facebook page,  This competition invites fans to be as creative and quirky as possible when documenting 12 photos around the theme of Christmas and according to the hotel’s photographic instructions.  Twelve fans will each receive a dining voucher worth US$200 valid at any Shangri-La hotel and resort for the most creative image per photo instruction, and five winners will each receive a gift certificate for a weekend stay in a Deluxe Harbour View Room with a HK$5,000 food and beverage certificate for the most creative album complete with all 12 images.  Winners will be determined based on a set criterion and will be judged by the hotel’s General Manager Wolfgang Krueger, Resident Manager Gabriele Lombardo and Director of Sales and Marketing Don Lau.  The winners will be announced on the hotel’s Facebook page on 4 January 2013.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

A tree lighting ceremony will be held in the hotel’s lobby on 4 December 2012 from 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. Officiating at the event are Resident Manager Gabriele Lombardo, the Patron of Heep Hong Society and Hong Kong’s First Lady, Mrs. Regina Leung and Heep Hong Society’s Chairman, Dr. Henry Au Yeung, JP.  The Heep Hong Society children’s choir will perform carols in the lobby from 6:45 to 6:55 p.m.

Audi TT Coupé Fund Raising Raffle

Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong and Traders Hotel, Hong Kong have organised a charity raffle in partnership with Audi Hong Kong (Premium Motors Limited).  Guests donating HK$100 to obtain a raffle ticket could win an Audi TT Coupé 1.8 TFSI filled with an assortment of premium festive goodies valued at more than HK$442,000.

Other prizes include weekend stays in the presidential, Hong Kong and harbour view suites with dining experiences at the hotel.  Raffle tickets will be available at the hotel’s festive ticket counter on level six and in all of its restaurants.
