JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong is collaborating with VALMONT, a well-established luxury skincare brand in Switzerland, to present an elegant, beauty-inspired afternoon tea set from 1 November to 31 December 2021 at The Lounge. With inspiration of precious natural ingredients commonly used in VALMONT, this time-limited afternoon tea set will serve as perfect tea-time treats for bestie gatherings while offering a revitalising beauty experience to nourish the body and soul in one go.

The collaborative afternoon tea set comprises artfully crafted savouries and desserts infused with key elements of nature to reflect VALMONT’s beauty ethos. It will commence with a refreshing Osmanthus Oolong Bliss Welcome Tea, followed by an array of exquisite savouries made with luxury ingredients displayed on the top and middle tiers of the three-tiered silver stand. Abalone tart, a sumptuous Chinese-styled pastry made with South Africa 16-head abalone and an edible gold topping foil; lobster claw salad with Siberian caviar & strawberry, an opulent appetiser loaded with the sweet taste of whole Boston lobster claw meat and robust, complex flavours of Siberian caviar; crispy tiger prawn spring rolls with a filling of whole tiger prawn meat wrapped by chewy shrimp paste; creamy and rich duck foie gras pâté with fresh figs spread on a brioche toast; smoked salmon white bread roll with pistachio parsley crushed herbs, with pleasing aroma, taste and texture in every bite; as well as a delightful vegetarian treat cucumber sandwich with honey walnut and sour cream.

On the bottom tier is a line-up of Instagram-worthy desserts, inspired by common ingredients found in VALMONT skincare products such as honey, flowers, salmon roes and glacier spring water, satisfying the sweet tooth and eyeballs. Butterfly pea and lemon crystal is a dome-shaped dessert with a beautiful pale purple colour, made with vanilla mousse, berry filling and topped with butterfly pea and lemon jelly crystals which are as crystal clear as glaciers, while the caramel lemon and honeycomb is made with caramel honey mousse and lemon cream, with a lovely honeycomb-shaped agar sitting atop. The chocolate & mandarin roe that resembles a real VALMONT bottle is a white chocolate case filled with candied orange peels, white chocolate praline and salmon-roe like mandarin juice caviars. Other aromatic flower-infused desserts also await, such as elderflower mascarpone cremeux, a green elderflower cream puff topped with an almond biscuit, mascarpone cream with elderflower jam and sprinkles of chocolate popping candies; and also chrysanthemum cheese, a fragrant floral tart filled with chrysanthemum cream, cheese and vanilla sponge, adorned with white chocolate butterflies.

Alongside the savouries and sweets, the afternoon tea set includes the must-have plain and raisin scones with jam and Devonshire clotted cream, and fine teas from TEA WG or freshly brewed coffee of choice served in a Narumi bone china tea set. In addition, diners may opt for a glass of Moёt & Chandon Champagne to indulge in an elevated experience, at an additional HK$100 per glass only.

Monday to Friday: HK$618 for two persons

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: HK$658 for two persons
