MAISON BOUCHERON MARKS ITS ARRIVAL ON THE WEST COAST WITH AN EXCLUSIVE LOS ANGELES EXPERIENCE

Since its U.S. debut in September 2024, with boutique openings in New York City and Las Vegas, Boucheron has carried the bold spirit of Place Vendôme across America. Now, following its Los Angeles opening in June, the Maison celebrates its arrival on the West Coast with an immersive experience on October 22-23.

Designed as a warm, welcoming moment that embodies Boucheron’s spirit of family, the experience invites its guest’s “home” to the Harvey House – an iconic residence by renowned architect John Lautner from the 1950s, set in the Hollywood Hills. This milestone strengthens Boucheron’s international presence and strategic expansion, marking a confident footprint in the market.

Spanning two days, the experience invites guests to rediscover Los Angeles through Boucheron’s lens of creativity. On October 22, guests were welcomed for an intimate dinner prepared by Chef Dave Beran, alongside CEO Hélène Poulit Duquesne and Creative Director Claire Choisne, followed by a performance by Nile Rodgers to close the evening. On October 23, the Maison will also welcome influencers to continue the celebration.

A JOURNEY THROUGH BOUCHERON’S WORLD

Founded in 1858 by visionary Frédéric Boucheron, the Maison is defined by an innovative spirit and exceptional savoir-faire. As the first contemporary jeweler to open a boutique on Place Vendôme in 1893, Boucheron has continually broken the codes of a traditional industry – bringing bold ideas and fearless creativity to high jewelry. Guests will embark on a journey through four distinct spaces that embody Boucheron’s creative pillars – beginning with iconic creations, then innovation, nature, and, finally, style.

INTERTWINED DESTINIES

Set within the Harvey House rotunda, this first space explores the parallels between Boucheron’s founder, Frédéric Boucheron, and the iconic Los Angeles Wilcox family – two pioneering lineages who, on opposite sides of the Atlantic, challenged conventions and reshaped their fields. At its heart, a reconstruction of Frédéric Boucheron’s office anchors the narrative, with the Question Mark necklace as a decisive expression of his innovative spirit. Around it, archival pieces, including rare artifacts from the 19th century, reveal the Maison’s breadth of inspiration – nature, couture, Art Deco – while celebrating its extraordinary savoir-faire.

REINVENTING PRECIOUSNESS

A second space is dedicated to innovation and creativity – an immersive showcase of Boucheron’s fearless approach to redefining preciousness through daring materials and avant-garde techniques. At its center, four mannequins present high jewelry pieces that embody this spirit, drawn from the Maison’s Carte Blanche collections, where Claire Choisne and the creative studio push boundaries.

Featured collections include Contemplation (2020), with a poetic creation that evoke a clouded sky through an innovative airbrushed effect; Holographique (2021), which captures every color at once using a prismatic holographic coating applied to sculpted rock crystal; Ailleurs (2022), where seemingly contradictory worlds and materials meet, interpreted here through natural shell and mother-of-pearl; More is More (2023), imagined to spark joy with pop energy, XXL scale and playful optical illusions; and Or Bleu (2024), a tribute to water that translates its textures and movement through cutting-edge processes like sand 3D printing.

NATURE UP CLOSE

A third space opens onto nature. Around the pool and through the garden, Boucheron’s love for the natural world unfolds in meticulous realism – celebrating both fauna and flora. Guests first encounter the Animaux de Collection: lifelike hummingbirds, cats, parrots, and leopard cats, each rendered with extraordinary precision that captures character as much as form. The journey continues with Nuage de Fleurs, a blossoming vision where petals, textures, and light are sculpted into ethereal compositions, honoring the Maison’s enduring dialogue with nature and its unmatched ability to translate life into jewelry.

FREEDOM TO WEAR

A space dedicated to style comes into view from the outside: a bedroom wrapped in floor to ceiling glass, where visitors glimpse a wardrobe not of clothes, but of jewels. Here, the Maison’s genderless, self-expressive philosophy – its freedom to wear – comes into focus through a curated selection of high and fine jewelry. The display celebrates the diversity of designs and inspirations, but also the multiplicity of ways to wear each piece. It underscores Boucheron’s ethos: never to impose, always to empower individuality and singular style. Two jewelry icons anchor the narrative, Quatre and Serpent Bohème, offering endless possibilities to stack or mix & match. Alongside, creations from other emblematic lines –Plume de Paon, Flèche and Liseré – expand the vocabulary. Pieces from the More is More high jewelry collection push the idea of a jewelry wardrobe even further, reinventing tradition with precious hair ties, hoodie strings and exuberant, colorful XXL designs that turn everyday gestures into moments of style.
