Evolving weekly, the unique regional set menus emphasize traditional local cuisine from the cities of Puebla, Jalisco, Chiapas and Veracruz!
The food tour first welcomes guests to the city of Puebla, one of the most important Spanish colonial cities in Mexico. The Prawns and cucumber salad with yogurt and mini soup of the day marks the beginning of the journey, followed by a choice of main courses with Soft corn tortillas filled with fresh cheese and sautéed vegetables ($98), Traditional chicken in mole sauce ($108) made with mixing different types of chilies together with spices along with a little chocolate, and Fresh green peppers filled with ground beef and raisins with walnut cream ($118).
Known as the origin of many characteristic traits of Mexican culture like mariachi bands, ranchera music and tequila, the next stop of the food tour lies in Jalisco. Guests will start their voyage with a Panela cheese and tomato salad with black olive vinaigrette and mini soup of the day followed by a selection of main courses including Deep-fried corn tortilla with black beans and lettuce ($98), A traditional Mexican pork dish in rich broth with white corn ($108) and the tender Slow-cooked lamb served with roasted tomato and oregano sauce ($118).
Located in south western Mexico, Chiapas distinguishes itself by retaining most of its indigenous heritage. For starters, guests will enjoy a refreshing Festive salad with mango sauce and mini soup of the day. Main course choices include Fried corn tortillas with black beans and fresh cheese ($98), aromatic Roasted chicken breast in spiced tamarind sauce ($108) and succulent Baked pork belly with achiote and coriander ($118).
Famous for being Mexico’s oldest, largest, and historically most significant port since the European colonization, the city of Veracruz, located in Eastern Mexico, is the last stop in this gourmet food tour. The appetizer for the final leg of this expedition is a Prawns ceviche with pico de gallo sauce and avocado and mini soup of the day. The variety of main courses include fragrant Baked eggplant with roasted garlic and pine nuts ($98), delectably Steamed corn dough rolls with chicken and roasted tomato sauce ($108) and the deliciously spicy and tangy Pan-fried fish fillet in “Veracruz” sauce ($118).
To end the gastronomic journey on a sweet note, guests can enjoy the Chef’s Dessert of the Day for an additional $20 while casually sipping on the coffee or tea included with the set lunch!
