For Spring-Summer 2026, MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon extend their ongoing collaboration, introducing the MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-4 MULE. The design reinterprets Salomon’s trail icon into a summer-ready, open-back silhouette, continuously expanding the boundaries between performance and fashion. Rooted in an exploration of hybridization and the blending of worlds, the release operates at the intersection of function and design, bringing together Salomon’s technical heritage and MM6’s distinct, conceptual perspective.

The shoe arrives in a new “Vanilla Ice” colorway, boldly reconfiguring the recognizable XT-4 OG sneaker into a slip-on mule format. The design delivers a light, tonal palette with subtle visual depth, offering a more casual, direct execution for daily movement.

Grounded in Salomon’s trail heritage, the design maintains its technical integrity and high-performance utility. It preserves the agile Chassis skeleton for stability, EnergyCell midsole cushioning, and a Mud Contagrip® outsole with chevron lugs for maximum traction. The upper construction pairs synthetic and textile mesh with an anti-debris structure to guarantee breathability and durability, completed by the signature one-pull Quicklace™ system.

Branding remains understated yet deliberate. MM6’s numeric signature and the Salomon logo appear along the lateral side, reinforcing the collaboration’s precise balance of fashion credibility and technical authenticity. Across the collection, MM6’s design approach intersects with Salomon’s technical expertise, where materials, volumes, and surfaces are reconsidered through functional adaptation, resulting in pieces that perform fluidly across environments. Function is rearticulated through form.
