Mondrian Singapore Duxton “SEOUL OF THE PARTY”

Ride the K-wave this July at Mondrian Singapore Duxton with a series of celebrations, collaborations and a rosta of Korean superstar talent throughout the hotel from 18 July 2024.

Enjoy a not-to-be missed 4-hands dinner with one of South Korea’s best known and most exciting culinary mavericks, Chef Choi Hyun-seok of Choi Dot, a guest shift by Gong Gan Bar, a rising star on the Seoul cocktail scene, a Korean Summer pool party on the rooftop and more.

This month also sees Mondrian Singapore Duxton’s exclusive introduction of KHEE Soju. Founded by Eva Chow, “the Culture Queen of Los Angeles,” KHEE is a pure, distilled Soju, made from the finest rice and natural rock water from 150-metres below ground using traditional Korean distillation techniques.

Chow shares that “I made this traditional Korean spirit out of love for my country of birth and a desire for its culture to be shared with the world. KHEE pairs perfectly with a variety of cuisines and occasions, and can be enjoyed straight, on the rocks or as a delicious cocktail.” Mondrian Singapore Duxton will be the Lion City’s first hotel to serve KHEE Soju, with Jungle Ballroom beingthe first nightlife destination to present KHEE by the bottle.

Chef Choi showcases his bold and imaginative take on fine dining at the revolutionary Choi Dot in Seoul, where while inspired by Italy, the compelling menu remains distinctively Korean and the experience rooted in fun. The name “Choi Dot” represents his ambition to create dishes so unique they need no further explanation.

A huge TV personality in his native South Korea, Chef Choi and Chef Huang of Bottega di Carna have created a 6-course explosive menu of Korean and Italian flavours, with dishes including Chef Choi’s Ganjang Gyejang (raw marinated crab) and Samgyetang, his take on the traditional ginseng chicken soup.

Chef Choi shares that “I am very happy to have the opportunity to present my dishes in Singapore, a city of gastronomy. I think the contemporary and exotic Mondrian Singapore Duxton and my dishes go well together. My team will prepare creative Korean cuisine and present a perfect night for guests who join us at Bottega di Carna.”
Chef Huang believes that “Chef Choi and I share the same ethos that fine dining should also be a fun and entertaining experience, we are looking forward to bringing something exceptional to the table with this unique collaboration.”

Chef Choi has chosen to share three of his most popular dishes; crispy fried eggplant with a sweet and spicy Eo-hyang mayo sauce, Burrata with a fresh yuzu sauce and Chef Choi’s signature pasta, a cold capellini with abalone, Korean seaweed and perilla oil.

Lunch or dinner at Christina’s is a family affair, with a menu designed for sharing over a drink or three in the warm and relaxed space. Pair Chef Choi’s Korean flavours with an exclusive KHEE Soju cocktail menu, especially created to complement the dishes.
