Tiffany & Co. and Nike announce the debut of Nike x Tiffany & Co. Air Force 1 1837 Sterling Silver shoebox. The one-of-a-kind Nike x Tiffany & Co. Air Force 1 1837 Sterling Silver shoebox marks the culmination of both brands coming together to make a “legendary pair.” The design is as much a celebration of the collaboration as it is a symbol of the House’s unparalleled savoir faire and display of heritage and craftsmanship.
Handcrafted at the Tiffany hollowware workshop in Cumberland, Rhode Island, the sterling silver Nike/Tiffany Air Force 1 1837 shoebox weighs approximately 23 pounds and is approximately 6 inches high, 10 inches wide and 16 inches long. Artisans employed age-old silversmithing techniques such as bending, cutting, filing, soldering, layout, scoring, fitting, stoning, polishing, upholstery and etching to bring this iconic sterling silver box to life over the course of 155 hours.
Tiffany & Co has offered the world’s finest jewelry since our founding in 1837. The House set the American standard for sterling silver—925 parts per 1,000—in the 1850s, which continues to be used to this day.
