Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with Limited-Edition Mooncakes
Pierre Hermé Paris is celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival with the debut of two limited-edition Mooncakes. Created specifically for Hong Kong customers, the new creations are presented in luxury gift boxes available in three colours.
Inspired by time-honoured mooncake recipes and culinary conventions, Pierre Hermé pays homage to the traditional mooncake with new ingredients. Perfect for sharing with friends and family, his creations showcase the craftsmanship, refined flavours and creativity that define the Pierre Hermé Paris brand.
The two mooncake flavours are:
‘Mooncake Plénitude’: Topped with a delicate chocolate disk signifying a full moon and new moon, the prized egg yolk found in traditional mooncakes is replaced with a soft caramel centre. Covered in pure origin dark chocolate from Mexico, the intense flavours counter the sweetness of the caramel inside.
‘Mooncake Ouvre-Toi’: Modeled after Pierre Hermé’s signature bonbon de chocolat, Ouvre-Toi is a combination of praline and sesame nougatine. The rich, exotic blend of sesame and praline aromas complement the flavours of the chocolate ganache that binds the crunchy layers. Covered in pure origin Mexican dark chocolate, the mooncake is topped with a crescent-shaped chocolate disk to signify the moon’s changing phases.
Customers who order their Pierre Hermé mooncake before the end of August will receive a 10% early-bird discount. Both mooncakes will be available in Pierre Hermé Paris boutiques in Hong Kong from mid-August.
