Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to redefine sporty-chic timepieces with the latest addition to its Polaris collection — the Polaris Chronograph Ocean Grey, introduced for 2025.

This latest iteration is distinguished by a striking new dial crafted from 35 layers of lacquer, enriched with three different finishes, and a bold Ocean Grey gradient accented by energetic pops of orange. Elegance and utility converge in a 42mm stainless steel case with dual interchangeable straps, crafted for life’s everyday adventures.

When Elegance Meets Adventure

Since 2018, the Polaris line has drawn on the Maison’s 1960s diving heritage, balancing vintage character with modern versatility. With a slim bezel, glass-box crystal, sharply curved lugs, and a refined mix of brushed and polished surfaces, the new Polaris Chronograph holds true to these design codes. A large crown and robust pushers further enhance functionality and grip — all hallmarks of the iconic model that inspired it.

A Masterpiece in Lacquer

The real showstopper is the Ocean Grey dial, composed of three levels: a sunray-brushed central disc, a smooth hour ring with applied markers, and a tachymeter-marked outer track. Its dynamic gradient finish flows from light to deep grey, brought to life by orange highlights that underscore its chronograph sportiness.

Crafting this dial is a feat of precision — starting with clear varnish, followed by four colour coats, a black gradient layer, and an astonishing 30 layers of translucent lacquer. This artisanal process ensures visual depth and vibrancy, aligned across every component.

Inside, the Polaris Chronograph is powered by the in-house Calibre 761, a robust automatic movement with a column-wheel chronograph mechanism. Functionally intuitive, it features:
