Macau, China – One of the most popular and distinctive national cuisines in the world, Korean gastronomy is widely celebrated for its bold seasonings, colorful palette and its balanced use of diverse ingredients and preparation methods. This May, JW Marriott Hotel Macau is welcoming two renowned native Korean chefs to Urban Kitchen for a sumptuous feast of authentic Korean food.
The launch of the Taste of Korea Dinner Buffet will be graced by guest chefs Jeong Woon Park and Hee Yeon Lee from JW Marriott Hotel Seoul. Trained in both European and Korean culinary traditions, Chef Park has worked on over 20 restaurant concepts in his long and exceptional career spanning three decades, while Chef Lee is a rising star in his home country’s culinary scene. The duo will visit Macau on May 16-19, providing live demonstration and hands-on training to the Urban Kitchen team, who will then recreate their iconic dishes for guests till August.
The newly themed buffet features a delicious line-up of classic Korean dishes. The cold salad section boasts an array of fresh premium ingredients from prawn, abalone to octopus, flavored with a variety of appetizing sauces and dressings. Then sample the soup selection, which includes the umami-packed Seaweed Soup with Beef. For the main event, sink your teeth into a string of crowd-pleasing hot plates such as the Chum Cheon-style Spicy Stir-fried Chicken, Korean Marinated Short Ribs, and, of course, the universally beloved Kimchi Pancake.
