SLAM DUNK-themed Basketball court arrives at Times Square

An all-time supporter of pop culture, Times Square is a frequent partner for art studios worldwide in running their exclusive overseas pop-up stores. This time, Times Square is bringing basketball manga SLAM DUNK’s “THE FIRST SLAM DUNK” pop-up store and a SLAM DUNK-themed basketball court to Hong Kong to celebrate the animated film “THE FIRST SLAM DUNK” – which is making its Hong Kong debut on January 12, 2023.

The Open Piazza of Times Square will transform into a SLAM DUNK-themed basketball court starting January 11 through January 15, 2023. The 10m x 9m basketball court, flanked by mega posters of THE FIRST SLAM DUNK movie, promises to awake the basketball souls in customers.

From January 12 to March 31, 2023, the fifth floor of Times Square will be home to THE FIRST SLAM DUNK pop-up store, covering an area of over 4,000 ft². Over a hundred store-exclusive items will be available for purchase, including collectibles straight from Japan and Taiwan, as well as locally-designed limited-run products. It is going to be a literally slam-dunk hit!
