Swim Club at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong

An Oasis above the City

Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong has unveiled Swim Club, a rooftop poolside bar perched on the hotel’s 50th floor. High above the city, Swim Club channels the nostalgia of Beverly Hills with the electric pulse of Hong Kong’s skyline. Framed by sweeping 270-degree views of Victoria Harbour, this open-air social sanctuary moves effortlessly from sunlit lounging to twilight revelry, blending playful design, inventive cocktails, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.

Set at the intersection of art and ambition, Swim Club is where travellers and creatives, seasoned tastemakers and new thinkers converge. It is at once a poolside retreat, a lively rooftop gathering place, and an elevated escape from the city below — a space that feels both spirited and serene.

Drawing inspiration from Hollywood Hills backyard soirées and Southern California pool culture, the design by Steve Leung Hospitality (SLH), a sub-brand of Steve Leung Design Group (SLD), pairs nostalgic charm with modern vibrancy. Pool-blue hues meet terracotta flooring and warm timber accents, while grids, stripes, and geometric motifs create a cohesive yet character-rich visual rhythm.

Guests arrive through a striking foyer of rippled glass and mosaic walls before stepping into the heart of the space — a circular bar crowned by a parasol-inspired canopy. Soft glowing lights evoke the effervescence of pool bubbles, while folding glass doors open onto a sun-washed terrace lined with cabanas, striped umbrellas, and loungers set against the glittering expanse of Victoria Harbour.

At the core of Swim Club is a cocktail programme that balances precision with play. Inspired by the clean lines and discipline of diving, the menu transforms form into flavour. Bright citrus cuts through delicate florals, verdant herbs meet crystalline fruit waters, and milk-washed textures deliver clarity and length.

Forward captures the spirit of a forward dive — bright, tangy, and fruit-driven — blending Beefeater 24 Gin, Daiyame Potato Shochu, white port, and verjus with pure raspberry water extracted without dilution. Backward offers a tropical reinterpretation of the Mai Tai, layering rum, Velvet Falernum, hazelnut, and matcha into a silky, spiced, and earthy composition. Free unfolds like a milk punch symphony of plantation-aged rum, black tea, single-origin coffee, Holzer Original, guava, and whey — bright, then creamy, mirroring the freedom of a diver’s movement. Twist delivers herbal vibrancy through basil-infused vodka, tomato and strawberry water, and Mancino Bianco Ambrato Vermouth. Armstand balances Altos Tequila and smoky Mezcal Espadín with bell pepper and grapefruit for a savoury edge, while Pike sharpens the palate with London Dry Gin, dill, and Bread & Butter pickle. Reverse shifts proportions for a softer, vermouth-forward profile featuring Nikka Day Whisky and pomegranate, and Reverse 4½ offers a non-alcoholic expression with Seedlip Grove 42, orgeat, and coconut water.

The culinary offering embraces California ease with a contemporary twist. The Gold Medal Hot Dog arrives on a house-made buttermilk bun with dijon, while the Smash Burger pairs Wagyu beef with caramelised onion, American cheese, and Heinz mustard. Raw Tacos highlight hand-chopped Wagyu brightened with sriracha and dijon, and Barbacoa Duck Nachos layer chile-braised duck over crisp Doritos finished with avocado and pico de gallo. For a more refined bite, BBQ Octopus arrives with smoked roja salsa, roasted baby potatoes, and shiso.

Exclusively for registered hotel guests, the rooftop swimming pool is a sun-drenched sanctuary styled with striped umbrellas, plush beach chairs, and oversized outdoor showers. Red Igloo coolers imported from the United States double as playful mini bar tables beside each lounger. By night, the bar and lounge open to both hotel and non-hotel guests, subject to capacity.

Shaped by sun, skyline, and spirited pours, Swim Club captures the essence of a day-to-night retreat — equally suited to quiet moments of escape or vibrant evenings with friends above the city lights.
