The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel Collaborates with Laureus Sport
For Good to Support Local Athletes and Raise Awareness for Mental Wellness “Mind in Motion” Charity Photo Exhibition
This event series celebrates the hotel’s 50th anniversary and commemorates its longstanding support for the community
In honor of our 50th Anniversary, The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel proudly presents the Mind in Motion Charity Photo Exhibition, in collaboration with Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Running from now until December 31, this exhibition features the work of renowned photographer Brian Ching with mixed reality effects at Ebb & Flow’s Artist Playground. This special event supports the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation’s initiatives on sports for development and mental health wellbeing in Hong Kong, highlighting the powerful connection between art, sports, and mental health.
Curated in collaboration with Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and renowned sports photographer Brian Ching, Mind in Motion features a photoshoot with 10 local elite and amateur athletes from diverse backgrounds. The exhibition celebrates Hong Kong’s distinctive athletic spirit in the vibrant district of Causeway Bay, where major sporting events such as the Standard Chartered Marathon, Hong Kong Sevens, and Hong Kong Tennis Open take place. Brian Ching captures the diverse athletes of Causeway Bay who champion their lives through sports. His photography highlights how sports can serve as a vital support for mental well-being, aiming to narrate the stories of city athletes and include The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel within these visual narratives.
The participating athletes include Mr. Philip Chan, Hong Kong Footballer of the Year 2023-2024, Ms. Lynn Zhang Ling, Former Hong Kong No. 1 Tennis Player, Mr. Ng Kong Wan, Former Chairman of Hong Kong, China Rowing Association, Mr. C Plus, Hong Kong Break Dancer, Ms. Angel Wong, the first Hong Kong female gymnast to compete in the Olympics, Ms. Li Tsz Kwan, the first professional female basketball player in Hong Kong, Ms. Leung Kwan Yi, a Hong Kong sprinter (100m), Ms. Hayley Chan, a Hong Kong windsurfer (Asian Games gold medalist), Ms. Amy Chan, former Hong Kong badminton player and Laureus Ambassador, and Mr. Walter Cheung, a renowned PR specialist who has completed 100 full marathons.
This event is also supported by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, integrating specially curated mixed reality effects that highlight the dynamics of each photograph, providing the audience with an immersive experience.
In addition to the photo exhibition, The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel is amplifying its efforts to support charity through a series of special promotions at Ebb & Flow. Throughout September and October, the hotel will offer sports-themed cupcakes, with 20% of the proceeds donated to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. During weekends and public holidays, guests can also enjoy a themed nutritious afternoon tea set, designed to celebrate the city’s dynamic sporting culture and raise awareness for wellness, with 10% of the revenue supporting the cause. Additionally, guests who choose to make a donation while dining at Ebb & Flow will have their contributions matched by The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel, doubling the impact. These promotions will benefit Laureus Hong Kong’s development initiatives and the 2025 Model City Hong Kong thematic fund, supporting sports-for-development, youth programs, and mental health initiatives across the city.
