Tomacado CAFÉ Opens in Kai Tak, Bringing Forest-Inspired Casual Dining to the Urban Community
Bringing leisure aesthetics to the city, where people, nature, and pets meet in harmony
As city life accelerates, a serene forest-inspired retreat has emerged in the newly redeveloped Kai Tak district. Tomacado, the acclaimed lifestyle dining brand, has unveiled Tomacado CAFÉ at Cullinan Sky Mall, introducing a “forest-style, community-oriented casual dining” concept. Following its first café at Hong Kong International Airport, this second location brings relaxed, nature-infused living into the heart of the city.
Compared with Tomacado’s signature restaurants, the Kai Tak Tomacado CAFÉ places greater emphasis on warmth, ease, and neighbourhood connection. A pet-friendly outdoor terrace sets the tone, while forest-inspired interiors create a calming, welcoming atmosphere. Designed as a green oasis amid the urban bustle, the café encourages meaningful encounters between people, nature, and even pets, with the scents of flowers and coffee weaving a shared sensory language.

The brand’s philosophy is rooted in the harmony of tomato and avocado—symbols of vitality and nourishment—reflecting Tomacado’s belief that “1+1>2.” This nature-driven ethos extends across its cuisine, space design, and guest experience. Since its founding in 2015, Tomacado has championed “natural, healthy, beautiful, and sustainable” living through its fusion of dining, floral art, and retail. With 11 outlets across Mainland China, expansions in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen, and accolades including the Prix Versailles Design Award and LUXlife’s “Floral Restaurant of the Year,” the brand continues to earn international recognition.
Founder Karen describes Tomacado CAFÉ as a “lighthearted proposal” to urban life—where nature is part of everyday living, healing is found in simple moments, and connection flows effortlessly. In Kai Tak, the café offers a comforting pause between memories of the old airport and the city’s future waterfront. In Shenzhen’s MixC World, the concept evolves into an indoor “breathing forest,” fostering a dialogue between nature and the human spirit across both cities.

The café’s menu mirrors this relaxed philosophy, offering an all-day dining experience suited to brunches, casual meals, afternoon tea, or evening drinks. Compared with Tomacado’s main outlets, the CAFÉ presents a lighter, more effortless menu spanning salads, soups, pizzas, mains, desserts, specialty coffees, teas, and cocktails. Seasonal, locally sourced ingredients are reimagined through the creative lens of Michelin-starred chefs, blending global techniques with comfort-driven flavours.
Signature dishes such as Crispy Fried Chicken with Açaí Miracle Whip, Spicy Creamy Beef Steak Pasta in Korean Style, and Silky Egg with Foie Gras and Beef Rice in French Style highlight the café’s playful creativity. To mark its opening and the winter festive season, Tomacado CAFÉ introduces the Blooming Celebration Limited Set for Two (HK$688, available until 3 March 2026), featuring a curated five-course experience paired with beverages or soups.

The space itself is designed as an immersive forest walk, with cascading greenery, warm wood textures, soft light, and floral installations that invite discovery. A pet-friendly terrace, thoughtful amenities for animals, community-focused events, and a retail corner offering floral arrangements further enrich the experience.
Tomacado CAFÉ Kai Tak invites guests to step into a neighbourhood forest—an everyday sanctuary where food, flowers, and connection come together, offering not just a meal, but moments of calm, beauty, and belonging.
