Wynn Tower Renovation Macau

Drama and Luxury at Wynn Tower

Reflecting Wynn’s trademark attention to detail and sense of luxury, specially-commissioned custom fittings and furnishings enhance the sense of indulgence throughout. Designed by Roger Thomas, Executive Vice President of Design for Wynn Design and Development and recognized in Architectural Digest’s Best 100, each room and suite now features a light, fresh palette and a host of rich new finishes including wall fabrics, carpets, chairs, couches, lamps and draperies.

A Roomthat Feels like Home

Thomas wanted each of the new Deluxe and Grand Deluxe Rooms at Wynn Macau to be uplifting and very natural, so he specifically commissioned a new kind of textured wallcover designed with the textural interest of grasscloth. While beautifully rich in color and texture, grasscloth is not always easy to work with due to the irregularities of natural products. The idea of a hospitality wallcover that has the same depth and richness of a hand-woven fiber was unheard of until Wynn created the demand for this custom product. Thomas celebrates the inherent natural properties with a paneling treatment of the walls.

This dedication to delivering the ultimate experience also extends to the drapery fabrics, which were custom designed for the perfect coloration. The two tone metallic leaf night table lamps, crafted to resemble a stylized amphora are also bespoke. The room as a whole has been dressed in carefully chosen light materials for the fabrics, carpet and lamp shades. As a final touch, all of the artworks chosen for these rooms were done by the legendary American master Georgia O’Keeffe, best known for her paintings of flowers, a universally appealing subject matter.

Evocative of a residence yet as indulgent as a retreat, the One-bedroom and Two-bedroom Suites have also been elegantly refurbished with light and crisp décor. The bespoke wall fabrics were exclusively designed for the suites to achieve Thomas’ desired horizontal texture in exactly the correct warm shades and tones. New sofas and carpeting complete the spacious living area, drawing guests into the relaxed environment. The sofas are of a new style created specifically for Mr. Wynn

Touches of Silk and Cream at The Spa at Wynn

The Spa at Wynn also features a completely refreshed look. Lighter and brighter in tones of cream, gold and caramel, guests are led into the spa by exquisitely-designed lanterns. Bespoke Fromental silk wall covering feature panels decorated with Koi, are accentuated with wave projector lights to create a rippling water effect and a feeling of tranquility. The fresh new design gives guests a sense of lightness and openness from the moment they enter the sanctuary of the spa, from the caramel and cream carpets to the refreshed limed oak woodwork. Coupled with a unique new spa treatment for guests, The Spa at Wynn presents a new experience of indulgence for visitors to Wynn Macau.
