LANG x Ponder.er Presents “Straight Acting” Capsule Collection Launching at in Early July
Hong Kong, 23 June 2026 — Los Angeles retail concept store LANG joins forces with Hong Kong designer brand Ponder.er for a special capsule collection titled “Straight Acting”, set to launch in early July as a celebration for LANG’s new store opening in Los Angeles. The collaboration brings together LANG’s curatorial sensibility and Ponder.er’s bold visual language in a project that explores identity, self-expression, and the tension between performance and authenticity.
Inspired by a term often used to police and categorize queer identity, “Straight Acting” reclaims the phrase as a point of creative and cultural power. Through the capsule and accompanying campaign, the project reframes masculinity and femininity as fluid, contradictory, and open to reinterpretation, celebrating queer culture, subculture, and the freedom of being seen on one’s own terms.
The capsule collection includes a printed T-shirt and a cap with “Straight Acting” embroidered, both in three different colours, as well as special-edition jeans with “Straight Acting” embroidered in the back.
The campaign, photographed by Hong Kong photographer Issac Lam, was shot with eight local Hong Kong talents from across creative communities and cultures, reflecting the project’s focus on individuality and shared experience. Talents include Eliza Tang (actress), Jum & Hecoheio (tattoo & illustration duo of Finger & Fish), Joya (singer), Sam Shamseili (dancer & designer of jewelry brand Shamseili), Lisa Lam (founder of beverage brand Taboocha), Kamil Ez-zikhe (editor of Nowness Asia), Kimi (e-commerce) and Joseph Chen (director of culture of Eaton HK). Their portraits capture the expressive, playful, and unguarded spirit at the heart of the collaboration.
The LANG x Ponder.er capsule collection will launch on 2nd July, and for pre-order on 24th June online at official websites of LANG and Ponder.er. LANG’s new location is at ROW DTLA in Los Angeles (1320 E 7th St Suite 132, Los Angeles, CA 90021), also scheduled to open on 2nd July.
