BUCCELLATI UNVEILS THE NEW MUSE COLLECTION A REINTERPRETATION OF THE ICONIC CAVIAR MOTIF

Hong Kong – Buccellati masterfully reinterprets its iconic Caviar motif with the launch of the new Muse jewellery collection: a sophisticated evolution and a whisper of beauty that continuously reinvents itself.

The essence of the Caviar motif, an intricate texture of tiny spheres evoking the delicate granularity of caviar, has long been a defining element of Buccellati’s aesthetic. It creates an enchanting visual and tactile harmony, where metal is transformed into a precious “fabric” capable of capturing and reflecting light with distinctive brilliance.

This iconic design found one of its highest expressions in the 1981 “Cratere delle Muse”, a masterpiece by Gianmaria Buccellati that, through its combination of silver, gold, jade and sapphires, embodies the purest goldsmithing tradition. It is from this celebrated cup, now part of the Fondazione Gianmaria Buccellati, that the new collection takes its evocative name: “Muse”, a tribute to timeless inspiration.

While the motif has historically appeared primarily within the Maison’s silver collections, Andrea Buccellati now introduces it into the world of fine jewellery. This marks a true transformation, where the addition of precious gemstones brings renewed vibrancy and colour to the design. Pendants, bracelets, cufflinks, earrings and a ring are adorned with rubies, sapphires and tsavorites, masterfully alternated to transform the motif from metallic monochrome into a vivid, multifaceted palette celebrating joy and light.

This bold integration of coloured gemstones reflects the Maison’s unparalleled savoir-faire: each stone is meticulously selected and set with exceptional precision, echoing the precious granularity of caviar itself. The result highlights Buccellati’s unique ability to unite technical mastery and artistic expression in creations that become truly wearable sculptures.

With the new Muse collection, the Maison embarks on a journey through time, building a bridge between past and future while reinterpreting its most iconic stylistic codes in a perfect balance of heritage and innovation.
